LTBesivystant informacijos ir komunikacijos technologijoms, kūno judesių sensorių technologijos, tokios kaip Microsoft Kinect, suteikia mokymosi specialistams novatoriškas ir pažangias galimybes palengvinti mokymosi procesą. Atsiradus tokiai kūno jutiklių technologijai kaip Kinect, galima tinkamai ir efektyviai panaudoti motorikos veiklas mokymuisi. Vaikams, turintiems raidos sutrikimų, ši technologija suteikia papildomą stimulą lavinti gebėjimus ir kognityvines funkcijas. Tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti kognityvinių funkcijų kaitą, taikant virtualios realybės programą vaikams, turintiems raidos sutrikimų. Tyrimo metodams naudotos Bronislavos Grigaitės „Kognityvinės vaiko raidos tyrimo užduotys“. Apibendrinus tyrimo rezultatus, galima teigti, kad vaikų su raidos sutrikimais kognityvinės funkcijos gerėjo, todėl Microsoft Kinect galima naudoti suvokimo, atminties, vaizdinės atminties, dėmesio ir dėmesio patvarumo gerinimui.
ENWith the development of information and communication technologies, body motion sensor technologies such as Microsoft Kinect offer learning professionals innovative and advanced opportunities to facilitate the learning process. The emergence of body sensor technology such as Kinect allows appropriate and effective use of motor activities for learning. For children with developmental disabilities, this technology provides an additional stimulus to develop skills and cognitive functions. The subjects were given sessions for 5 weeks, 2 times a week for 1 hour. The virtual reality programme used an X-box 360 Kinect console, a motion sensor camera, Kinect sports game software, and a TV set. The activities included a variety of sports: volleyball, football, running, long jump, discus throw, javelin throw, and hurdles. The aim of the study was to determine the changes in cognitive functions in children with developmental disabilities using a virtual reality application. Objectives: 1. To determine and assess perception before and after participation in a 5-week virtual reality programme. 2. To measure and assess memory and visual memory before and after a 5-week virtual reality programme. 3. To measure and assess attention and attentional persistence before and after participation in a 5-week virtual reality programme For this research parts of Bronislava Grigaite Tasks for the Study of Cognitive Development of the Child methods were used: 1) Perception. The study uses a task aimed at identifying the peculiarities of colour and shape perception and which of them the child prefers.2) Memory. The aim of the study is to investigate the ability of the subjects to hear and retain instructions, coordinate their actions according to the instructions they have heard, and identify peculiarities of children's visual memory. 3) Visual memory. The aim of the task is to identify peculiarities of children's visual memory. 4) Attention. The aim of this test is to determine the level of development of concentration and voluntary attention. 5) Persistence of attention. The test is designed to determine peculiarities of persistence of attention during long monotonous work. The child is presented with a correction chart showing 312 identical dots. The subject is asked to mark the dots from left to right with '+ - o' without missing any dots and without confusing the order. The test takes 5 minutes. In summary, the results of the study show that the cognitive functions of children with developmental disabilities have improved, and that the Microsoft Kinect can be used to improve perception, memory, visual memory, attention, and attention span. 1) Perception of the developmentally disabled subjects improved after participating in a five-week virtual reality programme. 2) A comparison of the results showed that the subjects' memory and visual memory had improved. 3) The subjects performed significantly better on attention tasks after participating in a five-week virtual reality programme. Their attention and attention span improved.
