ENThe article deals with the research and the attitudes of a BA fourth-year students in Social Education towards changes. The authors analyse pedagogical preconditions of independent education at institutions of higher education and investigate the factors, which cause interference with students’ self-directed work. The paper researches students’ self-directed work as a system of professional education, which secures the development of a creative personality able to independently adapt in professional activities. The research also introduces content analysis of student essays.
