The Best practice of implementation of the safer internet educational scenarios
ENLithuanian Safer Internet Centre (SIC) aims to apply the awareness raising methods that have the biggest impact on and help empower young individuals’ safe behaviour online and their creative skills for the Better Internet. To achieve these goals, SIC grounds its educational activities given the results of both international and national surveys and conducts focus groups with members of the Youth Panel. Lithuanian SIC applies gamification and the newest scenarios enabling students’ creative learning activities. The findings of the research help to find out the source for young individuals to collect information about the Safer and Better Internet and converse with the nowadays educational trends inviting and encouraging young individuals into the educational projects related to the real-life activities and proactive media use. The paper discusses the issue of what kind of Safer Internet Educational Scenarios are best for promotion of online safety for youth and children and how to encourage young people to be creators of the Better Internet.
