ENThe role of the future specialist with the fundamental changes in the health care system, has expanded considerably in recent years. Graduates who want to compete effectively in the labor market must have not only theoretical knowledge but also good practical skills. Practical training is becoming increasingly important in a real work environment. In the general practice nursing study program, almost 50 percent of the study time consists of practical training, which is carried out under real working conditions in personal health care institutions at all levels. Therefore, the opinion of students about practical training is very important. The aim of the research is to analyze the opinion of general practice nursing study program students about practical training and its evaluation. The object is students’ opinion about practical training and its evaluation. Objectives: to find out how students evaluate the possibilities of implementing the study results of internships. To identify the advantages and disadvantages of theoretical study days. To identify the factors that determine students’ motivation during internships. The methods of the research: analysis of scientific literature, quantitative research using a questionnaire survey of respondents, descriptive and graphical analysis of the obtained data. 138 I-IV year students of the general practice nursing study program of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences in Panevezys University of Applied Sciences participated in the research. The study was conducted in 2018-2019 by interviewing respondents after each practice evaluation.Conclusions: according to the students, the goals of the internships are realistic and achievable, and optimal conditions have been created for their implementation in the practical training institutions. In the opinion of the majority, theoretical study days are necessary. The most important advantages of theoretical study days: 42 you can consult with the lecturer leading the practice, share practical experience and link theoretical knowledge with practical activities. Disadvantages: it is necessary to prepare a lot yourself, long presentations increase time. Factors determining students‘ motivation during internships: promotion of independence, responsibility and activity; the professionalism, goodwill, and trust of the student in the institution of the internship supervisor.
