ENAt the end of the 19th century the count Konstantinas Pliateris in Plinkšės has erected a residence, which overcame the estates of all his relatives by the exceptional splendor. The palace itself is an example of the Italian Renaissance in Lithuania. The Italian Renaissance had a really big influence on the architects of the 19th century. The estate itself consisted of three parts: 1) the representation part presenting a palace surrounded by the natural and artificial lakes; 2) the garden; 3) the household part. The estate has survived till our days but featuring big loses. The representation part is one of the best remainded till our days. The author turns reader's attention, to create conditions to utilize the household buildings of the estate for the modern needs, and to protect the monument forever.
