Grūstė
LTGrūstė - tai sena vietovė, minima jau XIII a. K. Būga, ieškodamas kuršių kalbos liekanų žemaičių Kuršo dalyje, XIII a. dokumentuose randa paminėtą Grūstės vardą [Būga K. 1961. P. 232]. [...] Taigi, kaip matyti, Grūstės istorija yra paini ir iki galo neatskleista. Labai trūksta tikslių jos raidos duomenų, bet aišku tai, kad žmonių čia gyventa jau labai seniai ir kad XVI-XVII a. čia jau buvęs gana didelis miestelis. Be to, senovėje čia galėjusi būti šventa pagonių vieta. Čia yra nemaža kalniukų (greičiausiai alkakalnių), žmonės dar atsimena šventus šaltinius, tebėra ir senų ąžuolų - matyt, būta ir šventų giraičių. Dabar daug kas su naikinta, kalnai suarti, sulyginti. Yra išlikę Būgnų kalniukas, Mockaus miškelis, Varduvos ąžuolas. Išlikę ir pasakojimų, legendų apie juos. [Iš teksto, p. 156-157].
ENGrūstė - is an old locality, situated 5 km towards the northwestern side from Seda. It was mentioned already in the 13th century documents. The author of the article tries to describe the background of the township, to find out the concrete details which miss. There are stories of old dwellers from Grūstė, telling about the hills of Darata, Būgnai, the forest of Mockus, is described a large graveyard which has remained till our days, there were detailed paintings belonging to the chapel of the cemetery of Grūstė (these paintings are now in the church of Seda).
