ENIn 1760, the nobility of the Słonim poviat launched an initiative for law reform. Jerzy Michalski once suspected that it was aimed at drafting the Fourth Statute of Lithuania. However, the draft prepared by the noblemen attached to the instructions for members of the Parliament is not known. A draft of changes regarding the court system, prepared two years earlier by the nobility of the same poviat, has been preserved in Vilnius. This article outlines the content of the latter.
