ENThe article examines the first and the second patronymics of the nobility men of the Gardinas County of the 1565 GDL Army Census. The names reconstructed from them are divided into Christian and non-Christian personal names. All recorded canonical and folk forms of Christian names are indicated, as well as the cases of the recorded Eastern and Western Christian names are listed, only Catholic and only Orthodox names are recorded in the register. The article lists all the first and second patronymics from which non-Christian names are reconstructed. Some of these names are of the Baltic origin. The article also lists the most popular names reconstructed from the first and second patronymics. The article is of the opinion that the first patronymics are the paternal names of the recorded nobles, and the second patronymics are the paternal names of the parents of these persons.
