LTStraipsnyje analizuojamas jaunimo vertybinių orientacijų ryšys su sveikata bei elgesiu remiantis aukštesniosios mokyklos studentų tyrimu. Šiuo bandomuoju tyrimu siekta atskleisti aukštesniosios mokyklos studentų vyraujančias vertybines orientacijas bei ryšį tarp vertybinių orientacijų ir gyvenimo stiliaus bruožų, tokių kaip tabako, alkoholio vartojimas, kitokių narkotinių medžiagų bandymas. ENThis article is an overview of the results of the pilot study concerning relation between dominant value orientations and lifestyle traits such as consumption of alcohol and tobacco, and an attempt to use other narcotic substances. The study participants were college students - all together 120 respondents. Value scale that we used was Rokeach compiled value scale of main social values, which was modified for international KRIS (Kaunas Roterdam Intervention Study) program. Our study showed that college students (both boys and girls) gave evident priority to family and health values. Girls who smoked were found to be less oriented towards family than nonsmokers. Orientation towards health of girls-nonsmokers and those that quitted smoking was found to be stronger than among girls that smoked. Girls who never attempted to use drugs were found to be more strongly oriented towards health. On the other hand, girls who attempted to use drugs (other than alcohol and cigarettes) were more strongly oriented towards life full of impressions. College students that didn't smoke (both girls and boys) were found to be more strongly oriented towards family than smokers. Because of small numbers in comparative groups the results of this pilot study are preliminary and can be used for the purposes of constructing new hypotheses. [From the publication]
