Kariūnų tapsmas profesine grupe
LTVisuomenės virsmo laikotarpiu aiškėja du profesinio kryptingumo modeliai. Vieną apibūdina tam tikros specializacijos linkui krypsta profesiniai siekiai, saviraiška ir kt. Kitą lemia įvairiapusio, griežtai neapibrėžto prisitaikymo prie rinkos poreikis. Išsamiau tiriamas pirmasis modelis, būdingas kariūnams. Jo veiksniai ir kariškių, kaip profesinės grupės, radimosi ypatumai atskleidžiami remiantis akademinio jaunimo tyrimu (1999 m.) ir kariškių spaudos analize. ENAt the transition period in our society two patterns of professional purposefulness become clear. Professional aims, faculties, self-realization tending to some specific specialization are characteristic of one of them. The other is stipulated by the need of versatile, strictly undefined adjustment to market. In the article the first pattern is studied more exhaustively. It is characteristic of cadets. Its factors, as well as the formation peculiarities oi cadets as a professional group, are disclosed on the ground of the research into academic youth's self-evaluation and the content -analysis of military press (monthly „Karys"). The analysis reveals that these established peculiarities oi cadets as the professional group are not temporary or casual. The military press encourages analogous qualities. Physical strength, strong authoritarian traits, lack of linguistic subtleties (speech skills) feature this professional group. Army image, which is propagated by military press, consolidates military trainin^ methods (sport, discipline, collective pressure) and desirable traits oi personality. Army may become the most powerful fosterer of authoritarian personalities if state and social institutions do not endeavor to put into practice democratic norms. [From the publication]
