LTŠiandien dauguma šalių neapsiriboja vien savo valstybės sienomis, kaip ir jų piliečiai - vien savo gimtąja kalba. Tad beveik nuolatinis įvairių kultūrų sąlytis turėtų neišskirti, bet suvienyti ir praturtinti žmones. Tai padeda užtikrinti tinkamas bendravimas, kurio vienas iš svarbiausių instrumentų yra kalba. Europos Sąjungos dokumentų naujame bendrajame standarte suformuluotas tikslas, kad Europos piliečiai mokėtų mažiausiai tris Europos Bendrijos kalbas. Tad Lietuvai stiprinti ir gerinti užsienio kalbų mokymą yra aktualu. Atsižvelgiant į Europos Sąjungos rekomendacijas, parengtos Lietuvos užsienio kalbų mokymo programos, įpareigojančios peržiūrėti žmogiškuosius ir materialiuosius išteklius, mokymo ir mokymosi metodus. Siekiant užtikrinti kokybišką mokymą, būtina atkreipti dėmesį į gimtosios kalbos įtaką mokantis užsienio kalbų, šiuo atveju - prancūzų kalbos. Jau nuo 1950 metų sąvoka įtaka buvo įvardinta terminu interferencija, nors būta pasipriešinimo dėl jo neigiamos konotacijos. Straipsnyje neatsisakyta termino interferencija, nes, kaip rodo atlikta analizė, dėl lietuvių ir prancūzų kalbų sistemos nepanašumo, mokymosi procesas yra sudėtingas, t.y. yra gimtosios kalbos modelis automatiškai taikomas kitai kalbai, kurioje yra visiškai kitokia kalbinė raiška. Tai daro neigiamą įtaką mokymosi rezultatams. Atliktas tyrimas leido atskleisti klaidas, suklasifikuoti bei parinkti pratimus, padėsiančius sumažinti klaidų skaičių, išvengti jų pasikartojimo žodinėje ir rašytinėje prancūzų kalboje.

ENToday, a country does not limit itself any more to its only physical borders; an individual, to his only native language. The almost permanent contact of different cultures on the same territory has to unify people and enrich them, not divide them. A good communication plays here an essential role, and one of its tools is the language... or rather: languages, as the multilinguistic policy of states wishes it. The extension of the European Union has introduced in Lithuania a wider vision and understanding of this linguistic and cultural diversity. With this objective of quantity, the official texts of the Union associate a quality requirement, described by new common standards. The European citizen has to master at least three community languages... In Lithuania, the teaching programs (of foreign languages) were reshaped according to some of these recommendations. This change, sometimes drastic, imposes a revision of human resources, materials, equipments and methods. But most of all, it also asks to wonder about the qualitative influence of the mother tongue (the Lithuanian language) in the process of learning these foreign languages - in particular French. Already in the 50s, the researchers define this influence as interference, although all do not agree on the choice of this term, too pejorative maybe. It is nevertheless this word that we kept, as our research concerned an aspect which us, teachers, considered negative. It seemed negative also from the point of view of our learners. This interference would disturb their productions and would affect its results. Our research allowed us to establish a list (not exhaustive) of the most frequent errors in the acquisition of French (written and oral). After a work of analysis, it was possible to classify them to create exercises aiming at reducing their number and their frequency of occurrence.
