ENThe investigation into the values of a child living in the present-day global knowledge-based and technological society is presented in the article. The relationships between spiritual and material values of a five-six-year old child, as well as peculiarities of his/her national identity are analysed. Tendencies of the formation of destructive values and some of the factors are discussed.
