ENExtracurricular education is an important factor influencing early self-expression of children and youth as well as formation of future life skills. A social educator who knows children’s leisure needs, possibilities of their realization and the variety of possible choices can model children’s pastime more efficiently and professionally. A practical objective of general and extracurricular education is provision of equal opportunities for children’s personal development. Despite this fact, today’s research still shows educational institutions unable to fulfil schoolchildren’s preoccupation needs. A social educator’s ability to arrange child pastime depends on the institutional principal’s attitude towards the issue of children’s leisure preoccupation. An overview of all the above-mentioned conclusions is an indication that children’s leisure preoccupation and extracurricular education are social spheres significant enough to begin receiving more attention through correction of the extracurricular education system, and social educators can play significant roles here.
