ENInstitute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (ISS PAS): Lithuanistic research. The dissertation discusses the research areas of the Department of Semantics of ISS PAS, being in connection with the Lithuanian language analysis. The research involves the following problems: [1] Lithuanian-Polish theoretical confrontative studies utilizing the interlanguage (Lithuanian-Polish contrastive grammar), [2] Terminological dictionary (definitions of the interlanguage particular sections used in the linguistic contrast along with term suggestion for Slavic languages, including Lithuanian), [3] Corpus linguistics and electronic network dictionaries (experimental trilingual Bulgarian-Polish-Lithuanian parallel and comparable corpora, experimental corpus of the Lithuanian local dialect of Punskas and experimental electronic Bulgarian-Lithuanian dictionary), [4] Slavic-Baltic contrastive studies (description of particular semantic categories for Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and Bulgarian languages), [5] Research on the Lithuanian local dialect of Punskas in Poland (grammatical description of the local dialect on the basis of the experimental dialectal corpus).
