LTLietuvos fortepijono mokykla, jos kilmės ir raidos dėsningumai vis labiau domina muzikos tyrinėtojus. Liucijos Drąsutienės (1996, 2004, 2015), Eugenijaus Ignatonio (2003, 2010) mokslinius darbus papildė naujos Linos Navickaitės-Martinelli (2004, 2013) mokslinės įžvalgos. Tokios studijos sudaro galimybę apibendrinti lietuvių fortepijono pedagoginę mokyklą, nustatyti tradicijų tęstinumo ir plėtros galimybes. Bendroje raidos panoramoje labai svarbi kiekviena asmenybė, lėmusi lietuvių muzikinės kultūros sklaidos procesus, atlikimo meno, pedagogikos tyrinėjimus. Nors ryškus nūdienos pianistas Petras Geniušas pasiekė brandą – jo pedagoginė veikla apima Lietuvą, Angliją, Škotiją, Japoniją, auklėtiniai toliau kūrybiškai plėtoja profesoriaus metodines nuostatas, – išsamesnės studijos apie jo pedagogiką vis dar nėra. Panaudojant aprašomąjį, stebėjimo, interviu bei anketinį tyrimo metodus, straipsnyje apibendrinama Geniušo individuali fortepijono dėstymo metodika. ENLithuanian pianist Petras Geniušas is an important performer and pedagogue. His intense solo activity, participation in various chamber ensembles, cooperation with famous orchestras constantly attracts full halls of listeners – admirers of his great art. Today his performance art is highly evaluated in the global context while his students develop the methodological provisions of their professor. Comprehensive and generalising studies about the important activity of Professor Geniušas at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Piano department still do not exist. The aim of this article is to analyse and summarise the methods of pedagogical activity employed by Geniušas, as well as briefly review the evolution of his creative path. The results of qualitative research conducted in October-November, 2018 shall also be presented.The individual teaching methodology of Geniušas is based on purified piano traditions, respect to the composer as well as musical text. Virtuoso technique, rich, localised sound and attention to the artistic ideas of the composer became the most important parts of Geniušas’ teaching methodology. After experiencing influences from Russian as well as other piano schools, Geniušas created a teaching methodology that reflects the romantic worldview and original thinking. His pupils emphasise the comfy and creative work environment. Attention is paid to the art, musical piece, and tolerance for the opinion of the other person. This has most likely been the result of the pedagogical tradition adopted from Prof. Gornostajeva where lectures are formed as masterclasses. The innovative traits of Geniušas’ teaching methodology are based on his rich performance practice. He charms his students with his splendid memory and rich knowledge of piano literature.
