Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje analizuojama šiuolaikinė socialinė-ekologinė urbanistinės akupunktūros koncepcija, kurioje siūloma keisti platesnius urbanistinius kontekstus mažo mastelio ir nedidelių kaštų katalizuojančiomis intervencijomis pašalinant tam tikras įsisenėjusias socialines ar ekologines urbanistinės aplinkos problemas. Darbe pristatoma minėta koncepcija, akcentuojant ir pasirinktais praktiniais prancūzų kraštovaizdžio architektų biuro Wagon Landscaping sukurtais ir įgyvendintais miesto kraštovaizdžio architektūros darbais iliustruojant jos ekologinį komponentą. ENThe urban acupuncture aims to affect the whole "organism" of the city by small-scale interventions in carefully selected spots. Ecology is very important composite part of urban acupuncture; even such sub-trends of urban acupuncture as urban ecopuncture, aquapuncture, biophillic urban acupuncture exist. The lifestyles of contemporary urban population increasingly distanced from nature and the health and psychological benefits of human connection with nature proven by research encourage integrating, copy or adapting natural elements and features in everyday urban living and working environment. The landscape architecture company Wagon Landscaping is characteristic for non- traditional, experimental, rapid landscape design solutions, certain incompleteness, highlighting natural landscape and plant dynamics, social initiatives, and low-cost implementation. Three projects designed and implemented by Wagon Landscaping were analyzed in this research: Texture or Flashcode garden in Kortrijk, Belgium, Jardin joyeux in Aubervilliers and Le jardin clair-obscur in Poitiers in France. All the projects were engendered from the careful analysis of the place, its context and environment; they demonstrate low-cost possibilities of working with nature and the diversity and dynamics of nature, which has both recreational and educational functions. The analysis of literature and the assessment of the projects have demonstrated that the principles of biophilic design, such as the nature in space, the analogues of nature, and the nature of space, can be applied in ecologically oriented urban acupuncture. The concept of urban acupuncture could be successfully applied in Lithuanian cities as well. Implementation of ecologically oriented urban acupuncture projects in Lithuania would allow integrating traditional ethnographic plant assortment with contemporary ecological landscape design trends.
