ENEducation should be a priority policy direction of every state and nation. The existing Polish education in Lithuania and Lithuanian education in Poland for the minorities living in these countries is not satisfactory. Both Poles in Lithuania and Lithuanians in Poland feel threatened by the loss of opportunities to educate children in their mother tongue. The expectations from education, as well as the responsibility of those who manage it, illustrate that education requires strategic management. Only joint activities of this type will make it possible to achieve the proper goals and satisfaction of all citizens of both countries.
