ENIn 2018, when Lithuania celebrated its 100th anniversary, the Song Festival was a culminating event drawing large crowds of mostly the youth and the elderly. The weather was nice, festive events and especially the Day of Songs attracted a lot of audience, and the festive mood prevailed. The joint choir seemed to be somewhat diminished, but the loss was compensated by all three national choirs involved in the celebration. The festival achieved very high artistic standards and attracted great attention of the media: scientists, journalists, observers, fans of the festival wrote about it, the Lithuanian radio interviewed people and then transferred the interviews across the Internet. The abundance of texts and difference of opinions reminded me of a hissing beehive showing the growing public attention to the Song Festival. [From the publication]
