Juozapas Čechavičius ir jo epocha fotografijoje

LTFortografijų paroda ir jos katalogas parengti fotografijos 180 metų jubiliejaus išvakarėse ir skirti paminėti žymaus Vilniaus XIX a. fotografo Juozapo Čechavičiaus 200-ąsias gimimo metines, kurios yra įtrauktos į su UNESCO asocijuojamų datų kalendorių. Fotografijos kataloge pateiktos iš Lietuvos, Baltarusijos, Lenkijos, Rusijos institucijų ir privačių asmenų. Šia paroda ir jos katalogu siekiama supažindinti su fotografijos padėtimi ankstyvuoju, šlapiojo kolodijaus technologijos, laikotarpiu Lietuvoje ir gretimuose kraštuose, parodyti, kaip buvo vaizduojamas Vilnius Čechavičiaus ir jo pirmtakų bei amžininkų nuotraukose, dailės kūriniuose, papasakoti apie fotografo kelią į Vilnių, pademonstruoti jo paties ir amžininkų labiausiai vertintas Vilniaus nuotraukas.

ENThis exhibition and catalog are held on the eve of 180-year jubilee of photography and celebrates the 200th birth anniversary of the eminent 19th century Vilnius photographer Józef Czechowicz, which is included on the calendar of dates associated with UNESCO. The exhibition is organized by the Lithuanian Art Museum. The exhibits were provided by the public keepers in Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, and Russia as well as by private individuals. The aim of the exhibition and it's catalogue to introduce the photography of the wet collodion period in Lithuania and the neighbouring countries and to show the image of Vilnius in the photographs by Józef Czechowicz as well as his predecessors and contemporaries. The photographs of the places he visited on his path, the images of Vilnius and the photographs, prized and appreciated by the photographer and his contemporaries.
