Summary / Abstract:

VII-VIII a. slavai sunaikino šią kultūrą. Čia paplito krivičių ir dregovičių pilkapynai. Moščino kultūra gyvavo Okos aukštupio baseine į pietus nuo Maskvos. Vakaruose ribojosi su Tušemlios-Bancerovo kultūra, šiaurės rytuose - su ugrofinais. VIII a. Moščino kultūros teritorijoje plinta viatičių pilkapiai. Koločino kultūra paplitusi į P nuo Moščino kultūros, Sožos, Seimos, bei Desnos žemupiuose, bei prie Berizinos žiočių. VIII a. 2-oje pusėje Koločino kultūros areale randami radimičių pilkapynai. Anksčiausiai suslavėjo sritys nuo Pripetės iki Desnos. Dniepro aukštupyje baltai išnyko IX a, Okos baseine baltų salos išliko iki XI a. Polocko bei Pskovo ruože baltai asimiliuoti dar vėliau. Baltai slavų spaudžiami traukėsi į vakarus. Į lietuvių genčių gyventą teritoriją VII-VIII a. įsilieja dalis Dniepro baltų. Čia susidarė Rytų Lietuvos pilkapių kultūra, o vėliau lietuvių gentis. Latgalių žemėse rytų baltų genčių įsiliejimas taipogi atsispindi archeologinėje medžiagoje. ENThe article analyses the fortune of the Eastern and the Dnepr Balts after the invasion of Slavs into the upper reaches of rivers Volga, Oka and Dnepr. The Slavs entered the stage of the European events in about the 5th c. In the 6th c., they resided in the upper reaches of rivers Volga and Oka where they occupied territories previously populated by the Balts. Before the invasion of the Slavs, territories from the Vysla in the West till the reaches of rivers Volga and Oka in the East, and from the Riga Bay in the North till Pripyat in the South were populated by the Balts. There Bancerovo-Tušemlios, Moščino, and Koločino cultures of the Eastern Balts might be defined. Bancerovo-Tušemlios cultural area involved territories from the reaches of the Neris, the Nemunas, and the Shchara till the basin of the Shosha. Slavs destroyed this culture in the 7th-8th c. These territories were covered by tumuli of krivičiai and dregovičiai. Moščino culture existed in a basin of the reach of the Oka, South from Moscow. It had a border with the culture of Tušemlios-Bancerovo in the West and Finno-Ugrs in the North East. In the 18th c., the territory of Moščino culture was covered by viatičiai tumuli. Koločino culture pervaded South from Moščino culture, in the reaches of the Shosha, the Seima, and the Desna, next to the throat of the Berezina. In the second half of the 8th c., tumuli of radimičiai were found in the aerial of Koločino culture. Regions from Pripyat to Desna became Slavic in the earliest stage. In the reaches of the Dnepr, the Balts vanished in the 9th c. In the basin of the Oka, Baltic islands remained till the 11th c. In regions of Polock and Pskov, the Balts were assimilated even later. The Balts, pushed by the Slavs, moved West. In the 7th-8th c., a part of the Dniepr Balts disgorged into a territory populated by Lithuanian tribes. They form the East Lithuanian tumuli culture which later became a Lithuanian tribe. The resettlement of the Eastern Balts to the territory of Lettigals is reflected by archaeological materials too.
