LTPublikacijoje pateikiama svarbiausių 2005 m. Lietuvos politinių įvykių apžvalga. Apžvelgiami Vyriausybės ir Seimo sudėties pokyčiai, pabrėžiama, kad tai buvo metai be rinkimų, tačiau šalies politiką krėtė skandalai. Nepaisant sudėtingų politinių sąlygų, Lietuvos Vyriausybė patvirtino mokesčių reformos igyvendinimui reikšmingus teisės aktus, dalyvavo derybose dėl naftos perdirbimo įmonės „Mažeikių nafta“ akcijų perpardavimo bei pradėjo ruoštis euro įvedimui Lietuvoje. 2005 m. politinius procesus lydėjo ekonomikos augimas.
ENThe publication presents an overview of the main political events in Lithuania in 2005., including changes in the composition of the government and the parliament, stressing that the year was free form elections, yet the country’s political life was ridden by scandals. In spite of the complicated political conditions, the Lithuanian government passed the legislation that is critical for the execution of the tax reform, participated in the negotiations over the resale of the stock of the Mažeikiai oil company and helped to prepare for the introduction of the euro in Lithuania. The political processes of 2005 were followed by a growth in economy.
