LTMokytojams ir mokyklos socialiniams pedagogams ne visada pasiseka sėkmingai išspręsti vaikų problemas. Mokyklų socialiniai pedagogai, spręsdami vaikų problemas, gali pasitelkti ir kitus svarbius asmenis (žmones, kurie gali turėti lemiamą ar svarbią įtaką sprendžiant vaiko problemas). Nevyriausybinių organizacijų savanoriai gali mokyklų socialiniams pedagogams padėti spręsti vaikų problemas, padėdami pažinti neformalią aplinką, kurioje dažniausiai kyla tam tikrų elgesio, bendravimo ir kitokių problemų. Siekdami, kad teikiama socioedukacinė pagalba būtų efektyvesnė, socialiniai pedagogai ir savanoriai turi gerai išmanyti savo veiklos ypatumus. Todėl socialinių pedagogų ir savanorių socioedukacinė pagalba užtikrintų vaikų gerovę bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje.
ENVolunteers of non-governmental organizations are able to provide assistance ^d support for school social pedagogues in dissolving children’s problems, perching informal environment, in which certain behavior, communicational and other problems occur. In order to ensure effectiveness of socio-educational assistance social pedagogues and volunteers should perfectly understand peculiari- hes of their work. That is why socio-educational assistance of social pedagogues atl(l volunteers would ensure children welfare in secondary schools. The aim of the research: to disclose opportunities of switching to volunte- ers‘participation in organizing socio-educational assistance for children in secondary schools. The objectives of the research: 1. To study tendencies in the significance of volunteers’ socio-educational assistance rendered for children. 2. To evaluate the effectiveness of social pedagogues and volunteers cooperation methods in providing socio-educational assistance. 3. To establish the means of effective participation of volunteers in socio-educational assistance in secondary schools. Cooperation between school as an institution and various community organizations which provide social pedagogical care is of a great importance ensuring children’s successful integration in schools and social system on the whole. A Socio-educational assistant-volunteer represents a community, accomplishes educational functions in his / her activity, and supplements work of school pedagogues and social pedagogues. The mission of volunteers is especially important because they implement an intermediate’s role between young people and specialists. Volunteers are able to work in various fields where their assistance is required. These fields may include social work with children, teenagers, youth, organizational jobs, consulting, etc.We may presuppose that cooperation between social pedagogues and volunteers could be motivated by better results in the process of dissolving children’s problems. Volunteers provide assistance not only in schools; they also participate in different programs organized by non-governmental organizations. To sunt up it is necessary to mention that skills required for the work of a social pedagogue and / or volunteer are communication skills or sociability. Social pedagogues and volunteers effective socio-educational assistance depends on exchanging information and participating in general projects. Volunteers usually work in non-governmental organizations such as youth institutions of social pedagogical care, community centers, recreation organizations. The aim of their work is to improve children’s welfare in schools. Volunteers participate in cultural, educational, religious, art, health care programs thus giving an incentive for community members to cooperate and provide help to each other. So, we should search for various ways of improving cooperation between community institutions and schools because this cooperation could optimize both a formal and informal educational system and stimulate positive changes in it.
