A successful career is the main aspect of social adaptation and an opportunity to plan future for individuals. Preparation for a career must start in primary school. Teachers gi«- much attention and time introducing different specialties for their pupils. They use a variety of teaching methods: games, conversations, explanations, excursions and others to present the world of professions and careers. Teachers use textbooks and additional material in order to present a big variety of professions and career opportunities. Native language, nature and art lessons are mainly used for career preparation. Children choose professions emotionally, so it is no wonder that the teaching content influences their choice. Vocational or career guidance is a very important factor in the educational process. It helps to widen children’s knowledge about human activities and a big variety of professions, and motivates them to take interest in their own careers.
