Moksleivių socialinio ugdymo galimybės integruojant neįgaliuosius į bendrojo lavinimo mokyklą

ENRecent years can be characterized by intensive processes of integrating the disabled people into the Lithuanian society. Their successful integration requires not only the establishment of the legal basis for such people, but also the creation of society’s benevolent standpoint to the people with special needs. It is necessary that disabled people want such integration too. We should reevaluate the social values of healthy and disabled people and to form a new culture of relationships between them. These two groups - healthy and the disabled - should participate in it with great enthusiasm, being both a subject and an object. That why it is very important for the society and for disabled people to become active members of the integration process. The integration of pupils with special needs into the secondary school may not only help them to realize the standarts of behaviour which exist in healthy people’s society but also to join the process of relationships within society. It may also become an important factor of moral education for their healthy piers, it may enrich the pupils’ social competence, form valuable orientations, enlarge communication experience, etc.
