LTŠiame straipsnyje pristatomi ikimokyklinio amžiaus vaikus auginančių tėvų tyrimo rezultatai. Atliktas tyrimas parodė, kad ugdant vaiko emocinį intelektą svarbu sukurti saugią socialinę ir psichologinę aplinką. Tėvai atskleidė, kad stiprinant tėvų ir vaikų ryšį, šeimoje kuriamos tradicijos: buvimas kartu veikloje, įvairūs pokalbiai – diskusijos, rodomas dėmesys vaikui bei kuriama pozityvi aplinka. Tėvai skatina vaikus identifikuoti emocijas, vysto dialogą bei leidžia pasireikšti emocijoms.
