ENVolunteering - one of ways to solve problems of youth employment, selfrealization and socialization. It stimulates personal improvement, develops general human skills. In this way volunteers get more opportunities in labor market. During voluntary activities people can evaluate career opportunities, and develop new ways of self-realization. Although the role of voluntary activities in society is constantly increasing youth participation in it is still low. The article analyzes the importance of volunteering and the benefits of a young person moving from education to the labor market, discusses the academic approach to youth voluntary activity, competencies developed in this activity and motives of participation in this work.
