ENOur precondition to successful scientific concepts learning is self- dependent activity of students. This paper deals with the possibilities of applying specifically orientating tasks during science concepts learning. We suggest methodological - didactic material for students in order to help them to learn science concepts. It has been designed to help teachers to guide students towards understanding the natural world. Activities for students have been designed so that they could be able to separate essential and inessential features of a concept, to use the concepts when solving practical and cognitive tasks and to make their own conclusions. We have carried out investigation by means of pedagogical experiment and found out that orientating tasks influenced the formation of scientific concepts.
