ENThe article deals with the heraldic works of a professor and, from 1653 a rector of the Academy of Vilnius, the Reverend Vojciech Vijuk Kojalovič. The author pays much attention to the reception ofthe armorial of Lithuanian gentry written by Kojalovič. Interest in the work and admiration for its value was expressed by, among others, Adam Naruszewicz, Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz, Stanislav August Poniatovski, Simon Dowkont, Theodore Narbutt and Joaquin Lelevel.
