ENThe aim of the article is to show how important is the Polish-Lithuanian energy bridge as part of the Baltic Energy Ring. In this context the author presents the role of the transmission line Elk–Alytus, linking Poland and Lithuania. Further, the author describes specifics of power supply safety in Lithuania against the energy bridge. Moreover, the article shows how power is supplied to the existing infrastructure of the ring, as well as issues around building of a nuclear power plant in the region. According to the author, through investments it is possible to complete the Baltic Energy Ring.
