ENDevelopment of Information and Communication technologies makes an impact on the education system. It gives more opportunities for teachers while teaching their subject, they can access to recent researches in the field of education, and it also gives more possibilities for teacher in-service training. Trying to keep abreast with the requirements of the modem world, the authors try to clear the need of technological musical literacy and its integration possibilities in the education process. In reaching the goal, the document analysis has been made in regard to technological musical literacy and teacher’s ICT competence. In this field current projects arc analyzed; teacher’s opinion analysis of the ICT integration is made, SWOT and PEST analyses are presented. Applying the ICT to the education process of music, the principles of cooperation, creativity, individual and differentiated learning arc used.It has been observed that the problems of technological musical literacy integration are not sufficiently represented in the documents on music education. Technological musical literacy and technological competence are indirectly represented in these documents. In Lithuania there are just a few projects of music education and the majority of them are related with the development of new teaching/learning programs, and teacher in-service training. The change of music education methodology by integrating the ICT optimizes education possibilities, increases learner’s motivation, creativity, encourages teacher’s development of their qualification. The ICT integration into the music education can be strengthened by higher teacher’s ICT competence.
