ENLeisure, which is traditionally, defined as the time free from paid work, from domestic and physiologic needs, at the least institutionally and socially regulated sphere of human life. That is why it is regarded as a particularly important area that gives a person the opportunity to improve and to realize him/herself, to have an individual choice. This reflects the person’s wellbeing, determines the level of life satisfaction, i.e. defines the quality of life. World volunteering is understood in different ways in social and cultural context. This is the way in which society is organized. It is an activity that requires activism and takes away a significant part of time. This is more than a duty; it is work using your skills without any coercion. Also volunteers acquire intangible benefits such as knowledge and experience. One of the strongest contributions to volunteerism is human capital. Volunteering brings together one goal seeking people. For students it’s a pathway to social integration and self–realization. Volunteering is becoming increasingly popular way to give part of themselves to the public and gain valuable experience. However, some potential volunteers are still facing with the practical and psychological barriers that hinder engagement in volunteering. Quality of life is a field of study that has attracted increasing interest. Quality of life scientists work synonymously with welfare context, a happy or a full-fledged perception of life is considered as life satisfaction. Such changes in the concept of quality of life issues, on the basis of the scientific literature indicates that in individual stages of public development social well-being and quality of life had its specific features or has been under the influence of the current environment – social, economic and political.Summing up the results, and comparing them with previous studies on the subject, it can be said, that the lack of information when choosing a volunteering as a form of entertainment is large enough barrier for volunteers. Most do not know where to go to volunteer, do not know their rights and do not have sufficient information to be able to plan their time. Incorrect and inadequate dissemination of information can lead to dissatisfaction and misunderstanding emotions. The analysis of the survey results, the main barriers for volunteering time can be the following: a lack of commitment on other activities, working hours, safety, expenditures, and lack of information. Sports organizations should bear in mind that women are more motivated to volunteer than men. [From the publication]
