Summary / Abstract:

LTPlečiantis švietimo galimybėms, kurias atveria nuolatinio mokymosi koncepcija, kyla būtinybė apmąstyti pedagoginiame procese taikomą organizacinę strategiją - vertinimo strategiją. Straipsnyje kalbama apie pasiekimų vertinimo ir tikrinimo sąvokų sampratą, pabrėžiama abipusio bendradarbiavimo svarba ir adekvatus santykis tarp pateikiamų reikalavimų ir vertinimo. Čia pateikiamos studentų nuomonės apie vertinimo reikalingumą, požiūrį į vertinančius dėstytojus, grįžtamojo ryšio bei tarpinių atsiskaitymų svarbą.

ENWith the spread of the opportunities, which are created by the constant movement of the studying conception, there is an important need for the upgrade of some of the strategic organization in pedagogy. One of those strategies that will be discussed in this paper is the strategy of evaluation of knowledge. This article will present the operational definitions of the examination and evaluation of the obtained knowledge. It will place emphasis on the importance of the cooperation between the student and the professor as well as the adequate relationship between the presented requirements and evaluation. The study results will reveal students’ opinion about the importance of evaluation of knowledge, their attitude to the professors, necessity of feedback, and the value of continuous midterm evaluations. The evaluation of the knowledge that is acquired by the students is one of the most important tasks presented for the professor. This process is important not only for the student who is getting both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of his or her progress but the ability of the professor to evaluate the effectiveness of the cooperation between the student and the professor where the effectiveness of professor’s work is directly correlated with the achievements of the student. From the educational standpoint evaluation is the basis of the feedback. This is a tool which is used correctly can create the positive and motivational relationship atmosphere between the professor and the student. At the same time not adequate system of evaluation can create anxiety, mistrust, and negative emotions within the academic relationship.This paper will present the brief literature review on the importance of evaluation and its role in increasing the motivation for the students. In order to further investigate the components of evaluation the research has been performed. The main purpose of the research is to analyze the importance of evaluation system in the process of studying, the possibility of using the evaluation system as one of the means to increase the motivation of students as well as the positive academic relationship between students and professors.
