ENThe article is dedicated to the so called «contact persons» in the history of relations between Teutonic order and Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 70–80s of the 14th century. In this period the sustainable connections between the Gediminids and some brothers, «guests» and knights from Prussia were established. Based on the comparative study of the Prussian, local German chronicles the author tries to reconstruct the biographies of six persons, who were mediators in the Teutonic order and GDL relations. Therefore, the role of the «secondary persons» in the history of the contacts between the pagan Lithuania and Christian Europe in the second part of the 14th century is stressed.
