ENThe expositions of the Lithuanian open-air museum introduce visitors to Lithuania’s past, its tangible and intangible heritage — the goal is to present it in a way that is attractive for modern people. Over the five decades since this museum opened, its expositions have changed, next to the static and operating expositions new, educational ones have appeared, modern information technologies come into play. The focus is towards the needs of various user groups. Over the last decade almost all of the newly established expositions and exhibitions of the museum are educational in nature, in part adapted for teaching or independent learning. The Lithuanian Folk Museum aims to become a year-round museum with many different kinds of exhibits. [From the publication]
