ENThe article analyzes the 16th–17th-century public communication institutions – inns – in the Biržai Duchy of the Radvilas. On the basis of new historical sources, the circumstances that led to the establishment of the inns, their activities, types and range of clientele are reconstructed. The aim of the article is to show the sociocultural public communication sites (inns) of the 16th–17th century in the Biržai Duchy of the Radvilas. [From the publication]
