ENThe author describes the cultural values of the small town of Žeimelis’ churches: the examples of clock production and bell casting, and their established value. Žeimelis’ clocks were made in Riga and Saxony. Their technology and purchase circumstances are very interesting. The history of Žeimelis’ bells proves the opinion that it is a complex and manifold cultural phenomenon combining the variety of both technological things and spiritual aspirations. Most valuable as a cultural monument is the great bell of the Catholic church cast in Glebava, as this foundry has not been mentioned anywhere. [From the publication]
