ENThe aim of the article was to find out the attitude of teachers and third- and fourth-formers in the districts of Pasvalys and Pakruojis to the native dialect of East Aukštaičiai Panevėžiškiai and the deciding factors. The data shows that teachers and pupils are not disinterested in the native dialect. They understand that it is a wonderful inheritance of their parents and grandparents that reflects the past of our nation. While working in the dialectal environment the teachers must know the dialect themselves and how to use it while teaching how to spell and stress the words. A lot of conclusions and recommendations are given in the article. [From the publication]
