LTLietuvoje vis dar trūksta darbų, analizuojančių instrumento pedagogikos klausimus, aptariančių ryškių asmenybių individualius darbo metodus, jų reikšmę bendrame lietuviškos kultūros kontekste. Išsamios ir apibendrinančios studijos apie reikšmingą profesoriaus Petro Radzevičiaus kaip atlikėjo, pedagogo, taip pat jo organizacinę veiklą iki šiol nėra. Pavieniai straipsniai periodikoje, susieti su profesoriaus ar jo alto klasės studentų koncertais, jubiliejinėmis datomis, neatspindi reikšmingo indėlio į Lietuvos muzikinę kultūrą. Šio tyrimo tikslas – išanalizuoti ir apibendrinti P. Radzevičiaus atlikimo meną ir pedagoginės veiklos metodus. Straipsnyje trumpai apžvelgiama alto pedagogikos raida Lietuvoje, aptariama Petro Radzevičiaus kūrybinio kelio evoliucija, atlikėjo ir pedagogo veikla, pateikiami 2013 m. vasario–kovo mėnesiais atlikto kokybinio tyrimo rezultatai.
ENLithuania still lacks studies analyzing questions of instrumental pedagogy, discussing individual work methods of significant personalities, and their importance in the context of Lithuanian culture. Until now there has not been a comprehensive and generalized study about the important performative, pedagogical and organizational work of professor Petras Radzevičius. Sporadic articles in periodicals, related to concerts of the professor and his students and dates of anniversaries do not reveal his contribution to Lithuanian musical culture. The pedagogy of professor P. Radzevičius went through a long journey of searching and discovering which lasted more than four decades. It synthesized the features of the school of J. Fledžinskas, the achievements of the Russian viola school and the art and traditions of Western European string pedagogy. P. Radzevičius has an innate talent as a pedagogue. In his lessons he constantly exudes love for music and his chosen instrument, teaches students how to honestly accomplish the mission of an artist, while upholding the example of a most honest artist.The individual methodology of the pedagogical work of professor P. Radzevičius, the obvious achievements of his pupils, his creative approach to the art of interpretation and his personal example encourages most students to continue the traditions of their pedagogue’s work, to develop most of his pedagogical truths creatively and to devote themselves to pedagogical activity. The aim of this research is to analyze and summarize the art of performance and the methods of pedagogical activity of P. Radzevičius. This article gives a brief review of the development of viola pedagogy in Lithuania, discussing the evolution of the creative path of Petras Radzevičius, his performative and pedagogical activity. Also, the results of qualitative research from February–March of 2013 are given. The analysis was carried out by applying the following methods: historical, descriptive and literary analysis of viola pedagogy.
