Handel zagraniczny Litwy w latach 1995-2004

ENThe article analyzes the export and import of Lithuania in the period between 1995 and 2004. The research of the structure of foreign trade, which has been carried out on the basis of the international classification of goods SITC, helped to identify the most important sections of the export and import of Lithuania and the dynamics of their changes. The period under review was characterized by a radical change in the direction of export and import for most departments of goods - with the reorientation from the eastern direction to the West. These changes were caused by the economic transformation and the future accession to the EU. During that period Lithuania's foreign trade created divisions of goods and established close economic cooperation with partner countries.
