Žydas: partneris ir konkurentas Katalikų bažničios nuomos sutartyse XIX amžiaus pabaigoje

LTStraipsnyje analizuojami XIX a. pab. ekonominiai dokumentai - nuomos sutartys arba vadinamieji kontraktai, sudaryti nuomojant Žemaičių vyskupijos nekilnojamąjį turtą. Minėtas šaltinis leidžia formuluoti ir aptarti ne vieną problemą. Jis parodo ne tik ekonominių santykių dinamiką, dalyvius, bet taip pat atskleidžia tam tikrą galvojimą apie "kitą" arba partnerio įvaizdį ir leidžia analizuoti, ar egzistavo ekonominių santykių su žydais specifika: ar žydas buvo kaip nors ypatingai išskirtas ekonominis partneris. Taip pat atkreipiamas dėmesys į nuomos sutarčių ypatybes, jose numatytas ypatingas sąlygas ar detales. Katalikų Bažnyčios turto nuomos sutarčių analizė rodo, kad ekonominiai santykiai peržengė konfesijų ribas, ekonominių procesų dalyviai lėtai keitėsi. Be to, ekonominių santykių turinį lėmė ne tik ekonominis interesas, bet ir socialiniai procesai. Objektyviai sutarčių sąlygas nurodė įstatymai, o ypatingas jų sąlygas - kasdienė patirtis. Bažnyčios hierarchų verslinėse nuomos sutartyse, kurios sudarė nedidelę dalį visų sutarčių, dominuoja ekonominis interesas. Jose nuomotojo subjektyvios savybės nėra svarbios. Kur kas dažnesnėse parapijų bažnyčių žemės nuomos sutartyse, kurios, tikėtina, labiau atspindi kasdienių santykių vaizdą, dažniau fiksuojamas negatyvus žydo kaip ekonominio partnerio įvaizdis. Visgi su žydu bendradarbiauta. Bažnyčios laikysena pasirenkant savo turto nuomos partneriu žydą buvo nulemta objektyviai - nebuvo kitų, galėjusių ir norėjusių tokiu verslu užsiimti. ENThe article analyzes economic documents of the end of the 19th century – rent contracts, concluded for the purpose of renting real estate of Žemaičiai bishopric. The aforementioned source provides the possibility to formulate and discuss a good deal of problems. It not only shows the dynamics and participants of economic relations, but also reveals a certain thinking of the image of the “other” or partner and provides a possibility to analyze the existence of the specificities of economic relations with Jews: whether a Jew was a special economic partner. In addition, attention is drawn to the particularities of rent contracts and the special conditions and details, contained therein. The analysis of contracts for rent of property of the Catholic Church shows that economic relations surpassed the boundaries of confessions and the participants of economic processes changed slowly. In addition the content of economic relations was determined not only by economic interests, but also by social processes. The laws specified the conditions of contracts and the special conditions were dictated by everyday experience. In business rent contracts, concluded by hierarchs of the Church, which formed an insignificant part of the total of contracts, economic interests are dominating and the subjective features of the lessor are not important. The more land rent contracts, concluded by parish churches, which are likely to reflect the view of everyday relations more, present a negative image of a Jew as an economic partner more frequently. Nevertheless Jews were cooperated with. The Church’s standing when choosing Jews as partners was determined impartially – there were no others, able and willing to be engaged in such business. However, at the end of the century the number of rent contracts, concluded with non-Jews started to increase.
