ENBoth Lithuanian language curriculum abd text books written in 1918-1940 are suitable only as long as the education reform took place in 1937 and some time afterwards. The curriculum is being discussed in the article considering the main principles of presenting teaching material as well as the statute of didactic learning. Inductive methods of teaching, Stimulans to back up the texts while analysing linguistic phenomenon, making a stronger focus on developing writing shills arc to be prevalent both in the curriculums and the text books of the time period discussed above. Grammar is perceived as teaching writing involving punctuation as well. Updated curriculum of Lithuanian language is based on the most significant statute of didactic learning in 1918's -1940's: firstly, teaching of language has to be based on spoken language; secondly, grammar is means teaching of writing: then grammar items has to be analysed referred to the texts.
