ENLooking at the worlds of Čiurlionis’ art, we understand that the formula of linear causality, beloved by the West, is insufficient to perceive cosmic reality, in which time and space lose their strict boundaries. Aesthetics here are not limited to cultural games or the artist’s internal confusion; on the contrary, Čiurlionis’s work allows us to hear the melody of the universe’s self-creation, resounding in the polyphony of colors and forms. Thus, an atemporal universe is born, in which the spheres of being and non-being simultaneously collide, and silence is intertwined with a subtle resonance - as if all this were happening in a dance of light and shadow. Čiurlionis’ art is unique; instead of trying to repeat what he thinks, he subtly participates in all its whirlpools, and the creator becomes a part of the continuous dance of that cosmic creation. In Čiurlionis’ paintings and music, subtle harmonies of colors and forms open up a space of silence, from which new connections of being and non-being are constantly emerging. From this feeling, an unprecedented aesthetic and ontological vision of the world is born, inviting us to reconsider how art, the creator, and reality are intertwined.
