ENIn Lithuania students’ physical fitness assessment scale is not adequate when it is necessary to evaluate the entrants to the Physical and Sport Education programme because of the contingency and testing particularities. The aim of the study is to work out a physical fitness assessment system for the entrants to the Physical and Sport Education programme. In 2001–2003 205 females and 334 males participated in the study. They did six physical fitness tests. S type scale was used to make up the assessment scale. The presented assessment system is possible to be used not only in entrance exams but also in the study period.
