ENThe article presents the history of Photography Museum which is a division of Šiauliai "Aušros" museum: its beginning, activity, and reconstruction. The abundance and variety of museum exhibits is overviewed. The main attention is paid to the state of exhibits stored in Photography Museum. The stages of preservation, restoration, objectives, problems and the ways of their solution of exhibit collections are described. The chosen renovation methodologies are introduced. The new and modern stage of exposition and storage of photography history, that complies with museum's conception of the 21st century, is overviewed as well.
