LTStraipsniu siekiama išanalizuoti Lenkijos užsienio politikos strateginius prioritetus regioninės politikos kontekste, nustatyti kokią vietą valstybės užsienio politikoje užima bendradarbiavimas su konkrečiais Europos subregionais. Tyrimas skirtas išanalizuoti, kaip Lenkijos užsienio politikos prioritetai ir įgyvendinama regioninė politika sąveikauja tarpusavyje- Lenkijos bendradarbiavimo analizė subregioniniu lygmeniu gali parodyti valstybės bendradarbiavimo prioritetų išsidėstymą ir kaitą. Pasirinkti trys Europos subregionai - Veimaro trikampis, Višegrado grupė (V4) ir Baltijos šalys, kaip labiausiai atspindintys 2012-2016 m. Lenkijos užsienio politikos strategines kryptis. Tyrimų, susijusių su bendrąja Lenkijos užsienio politika, yra atlikta, tačiau mokslinio lygmens darbų, susijusių su valstybės regioninio bendradarbiavimo perspektyvomis, trūksta. Pateikiama Lenkijos regioninio bendradarbiavimo strategijos su Veimaro trikampio, Višegrado grupe ir Baltijos valstybėmis analizė praplečia jau turimų mokslinių tyrimų lauką.
ENForeign politics is defined as a rational choice of the most suitable means which help to seek aims by using the most favourable international situation. Geographical position, structure of international system (participation in international organizations) are systemic factors which are determined by foreign environment of the country. What is more, national factors such as demographic factor, factor of economical potential and military capability as well as factor of political system are also very important. In the context of regional processes, sub-region is defined as a space which includes one or more features which allow to see all countries of the sub-region as a one entity. Despite the fact that geographical aspect is important, sub-regions cannot be limited only by the characteristics of space. Due to this fact, regions and sub-regions are made of combinations of physical and functional features. Regionalization is a tendency or a process of region formation while regionalism is a correct tendency to create regional institutions and settlements and due to the fact it is defined as aim or result- Variety of theories shows the complexity and multiplicity of regional integration. This article analyses priority directions of Poland in sub-regional collaboration.It shows that Poland wants to strengthen its position in political unions by creating common perspective of European integration. Poland wants to keep good relations with NATO by showing itself as a reliable ally in a transatlantic context. It also seeks to pursue active collaboration with Ukraine and other countries of Eastern Europe and Southern Caucasus. Poland wants to increase its power in international politics and due to the fact it pursues various collaboration with Western countries and countries of Vysegrad group. What is more, it encourages partnership with Eastern countries as well. Economical collaboration is one of the priority spheres in foreign politics and Germany is one of the most powerful countries in this sphere. Relations with diaspora and those citizens of Poland origin who live in a foreign countries encourages closer relations with neighbour states which contain the biggest amount of Poles.
