The Bologna process and the features of implementation of the internationalization of higher education in Lithuania

LTDėl globalizacijos įtakos pakito internacionalizacijos turinys ir formos – jis apėmė įvairių visuomenės veiklos sričių jungimąsi regioniniu ar globaliniu mastu, normų, institucijų derinimą ir vienodinimą, o kartu suaktyvino konkurenciją. Aukštojo mokslo internacionalizacija tapo procesu, per kurį į studijų procesą, tyrimus ir kitas institucijos tarnybas integruojamos tarptautinės ir tarpkultūrinės dimensijos. Ypač svarbus yra organizacijos, kurioje vyksta tarpkultūrinės ir tarptautinės iniciatyvos, požiūris. Būtent jis suformuoja tokią politinę kultūrą, kurioje minėta veikla ir iniciatyvos tampa prioritetiniais aukštojo mokslo institucijos politikos tikslais. Šiame straipsnyje ieškoma atsakymų į probleminius klausimus: kokios yra tarptautiškumo dimensijos bei jos stiprinimo sąlygos ir kaip Bolonijos procesas paveikė aukštojo mokslo tarptautiškumo įgyvendinimą Lietuvoje Europos Sąjungos šalių kontekste. Akcentuojant šias problemas, iškeltas darbo tikslas – išsiaiškinti aukštojo mokslo tarptautiškumo raidos ypatumus įgyvendinant Bolonijos procesą Lietuvoje. Siekiant išsikelto tikslo, straipsnyje analizuojamos tarptautiškumo dimensijos ir apibrėžtys aukštajame moksle, apžvelgiamas Bolonijos procesas, jo dokumentų chronologinė seka ir tarptautiškumo aspektai šiuose dokumentuose, diskutuojama, kaip Lietuva įgyvendino pagrindinius Bolonijos deklaracijos principus, kaip jie atsispindėjo nacionaliniuose dokumentuose ir plėtojant tarptautinį mobilumą.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Aukštojo mokslo tarptautiškumas; Internacionalizacija; Bolonijos procesas; Bologna process; Internationalisation of higher education.

ENDue to the influence of globalisation, the content and forms of internationalisation changed – it included the connection of various activity areas of society in regional and global scale, the coordination and the equalization of norms and institutions and activated competition. The internationalisation of higher education became a process, through which international and intercultural dimensions are integrated in the study process, the researches and other institutional services. Especially significant is the approach of the organisation, in which intercultural and international initiatives are carried out. Namely, it forms such political culture, in which mentioned activity and initiatives become the priority political aims of institutions of higher education. In this article, the answers to problematic questions are looked for: what are the dimensions of internationality and the conditions for its strengthening and how, in the context of European Union countries, the process of Bologna influenced the realization of internationality of higher education in Lithuania. While emphasising these problems, the aim of the work is to ascertain the peculiarities of the development of internationality of higher education in the process of Bologna in Lithuania. To reach the aim, in the article, the dimensions of internationality and the definitions in higher education are analysed, the process of Bologna, the chronological sequence of its documents and the aspects of internationality in these documents are reviewed, it is discussed, how Lithuania implemented the main principles of the Bologna Declaration, how they reflected in the national documents and in the development of international mobility.
