Muziejų prieinamumas specialiųjų poreikių turintiems vaikams

LTMuziejus yra ne tik kultūros paveldą kaupianti, sauganti ir eksponuojanti institucija, bet ir edukacinė erdvė. Suprantama, kad kiekvienas muziejus negali (ir neturi) įgyvendinti edukacinių programų visoms tikslinėms grupėms, tačiau skirtingos ekspozicijos gali pritraukti specifines lankytojų grupes ir puikiai patenkinti jų poreikius. Kol neįgaliųjų ir specialiųjų poreikių turinčių asmenų integracija į švietimo sistemą ir visuomeninį gyvenimą vyksta vangiai, muziejai turi potencialą tapti kaip tik ta erdve, kurioje vaikai ir suaugusieji galėtų mokytis, bendrauti, interpretuoti ir kurti nepaisydami fizinių ir psichinių galimybių. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas muziejų prieinamumas specialiųjų poreikių turintiems vaikams. Atlikta analizė išryškino, jog Lietuvos muziejai siūlo edukacinę veiklą specialiųjų poreikių turintiems vaikams, tačiau trūksta programų įvairovės, profesionalaus pasiruošimo ir (kartais) techninių galimybių. Gali atrodyti, kad geriausi pasaulio muziejai mus aplenkė daugeliu mylių, tačiau kartu jie yra inspiracijos šaltinis. Lietuvos muziejų edukatoriai mato prasmę ir jaučia poreikį vykdyti edukacinę veiklą, nukreiptą į šią tikslinę grupę, ir vis dažniau bendradarbiauja su įstaigomis, institucijomis, atstovaujančiomis jai. Bet kad sąvoka „visiems atviras muziejus“ nebūtų tik tuščias šūkis, turi keistis ir patys muziejai – nuo požiūrio į savo funkcijas iki infrastruktūros.

ENA museum is not only an institution that collects, protects and exhibits cultural heritage but also an educational space. It is understandable that every museum cannot (and don't have to) realize educational programmes for all target groups. However, different expositions can attract specific groups of visitors and perfectly satisfy their needs. While the integration of the disabled and the people with special needs to the educational system and social life are going slowly, museums have the potential to become exactly that space, in which children and adults could learn, communicate, interpret and create disregarding physical and psychological possibilities. In the article, the availability of museums for the children with special needs is analysed. The analysis emphasised that the museums of Lithuania suggest educational activity for the children with special needs. However, there is a lack of variety of programmes, professional preparation and (sometimes) technical abilities. It may seem that the best museums of the world overtook us by many miles. However, together they are the source of inspiration. The educators of the museums of Lithuania see the significance and feel the need to pursue educational activity, which is directed to the target group, and increasingly communicate with the institutions, which represent it. In order that the concept "museum for everybody" would not be an empty slogan, museums themselves have to change – from the approach on their functions to the infrastructure.
