Summary / Abstract:

ENGlobalization and integration are some of the forces that arc perceived as threats to the sovereignty and national identity of Lithuania and other European states. Expansion of transnational business corporations and federalist tendencies of European Union are significant contributors as well as challengers to that perception. This paper examines several possible future contingencies and what measures Lithuania and other states of the region may take to preserve their values and achieve their sovereignty aspirations within the EU and NATO.
