ENThe article discusses Blessed George’s role in promoting consecrated life in the Church. Not only was he the renovator of the Congregation of Marian Fathers, but also the founder of two female religious communities: Sisters of the Poor of the Immaculate Conception and Sisters Handmaids of Jesus in the Eucharist. Also, Blessed George assisted other female religious congregations in organizing their life from a legal point of view (composing their religious laws). As the Apostolic Visitator to Lithuania, he greatly contributed to the development of religious life in that country.
