Summary / Abstract:

ENThe author of the article tries to reveal connections between the late literary output of Czesław Miłosz and the philosophical mysticism of Emanuel Swedenborg. The condition of science and theology in times of religious atrophy, considered by Miłosz in his writings, is confronted with the pathological analyses of Karl Jaspers, who maintained that a schizophrenic episode was inscribed into Swedenborg's life.
